Now, you may have noticed that, well, there's not a lot happening with The Boys and Crash. This is because we decided to go on a hiatus to focus on some other things for a while. Our most recent gig was in Haarlem, rock city.

And it was glorious. A bit emotional too, since we already knew the hiatus was going to be starting right then and there.

We've been working on the second album, and then the computer we were using to record it all got stolen. Fancy that. So right now we're in limbo - we're lacking the hardware to continue, but we don't intend to stop here. That second album will be recorded, mixed, mastered and rocked out to.

We'll post again when we have more information. But send us your positive vibes in the meantime.

Haarlem Rock City

Koninginnedag has come and gone, and we loved rocking out @ the Pitcher, once again in Haarlem. Considering the fact that we've got two more gigs lined up in Haarlem, we've decided to dub Haarlem the dutch capital of Rock.
We're franticly working on new songs. Slowly we are creeping up to a second album and it will melt faces. You have been warned.

The reviews for 'Favorite Amongst Thieves' have been coming in slowly and we've decided to post them one at a time, so that y'all can take your time agreeing or disagreeing with them. So here's the first one, which is Dutch, is from musicfrom.nl, written in October 2010:

Yes! 2010 is done. We released our first album, we made a video clip and we rocked 23 gigs. Conclusion: The Boys and Crash have won 2010.

We would like to thank all the venues that had us, all the bands we played with and all the fans that came to watch us. You all made our year.

As for 2011, we're working on new material and will be releasing a second record (album or EP). There are more gigs planned, and who knows what else? We're going to keep on rocking, and hope that all of you will join us!

Here's a much needed explanation and update!

First off: New site! To coincide with the release of 'Favorite Amongst Thieves', the myspace and TBAC.com are now both suitably themed. But with the new website, it also brings a clearer gig list, room for more media (photographs will be added soon), and a beautiful releases page, detailing the ways in which you can get some TBAC for yourselves.

Second off: This question pertains to the availability of Favorite Amongst Thieves. We are currently only selling the album directly. This means we've got them available at shows, and you can always get one directly from one of the band members. The price is a very reasonable and low 5 EUR (that's $6.90).

Since we're doing all of this as DIY as possible, we sadly don't have the means (or funds) to send out CDs by mail. However, for our international patrons, we'll be making the album available for the exact same low, low price, for digital download. We're still working on the details, but it will come soon. Keep tabs on this site or our myspace/facebook/twitters and you'll know as soon as it's available!

I hope this answer satisfies (for now) all the people who've inquired about getting their hands on the album. We'll get you your TBAC fix as soon as possible!

Album and Video news!

First off: The Needs Duct Tape video is online. Spread the word! (why? because it's frickin' epic!)

Second off: The album's ready, and available as of Friday the 17th. It's called 'Favorite Amongst Thieves', and it is a beauty to behold.

Though not available online, that's in the works as well and should be up somewhere before October. For now, you can get it for 5 euro at our gigs, or straight from the band if you know how to reach them. As it turns out, we're really nice guys. Seriously.

We're really stoked about all this - and the gigs we've got lined up are also reason for us to get stoked. We'll get to play the Baroeg, Volta and a farm in Breda! And that's not all! Keep up with us at myspace, facebook or this here website, and you'll be in the know.

And knowing's half the battle, remember?
